As the joke goes in Australia (and applies to US and Canada) the two main parties provide and offering of Shit and Shit-Lite. Would love to have a better electoral system that gives a proper choice.

In Canada we have better options then the two corporation parties...NDP and the Greens...but it is the minds of the voters that need to change...they are stuck in decisions that b are dangerous to true democracies

I don't know what happen to the NDP but they're nothing like they used to be. Like the Liberals and Conservatives they're absolutely terrible on Climate Change.

To be fair they can only do so much with something like 24 seats. More people need to vote for them. Same scare tactics here as in the US. If you don’t vote liberal the Conservatives will win. People get scared and continue to vote same bafoons into power.

And to be fair, NDP are screwed by Canada's first past post electoral systems. In many past elections they get 15 to 20+% of national vote but half that % in seat in parliament. Trudeau promised to make Canada more democratic with electoral reform in 2015. Then after almost 2 yeara of national consultation, he dropped that promise. I will never forgive him

They've held the balance of power since the last election. They could have said something about the Liberals spending 34 billion on the trans mountain tar sands pipeline expansion or the Kitimat LNG terminal. Show me an NDP party that's shown any environmental leadership. BC is fracking like crazy, and cutting old growth forests. Alberta's NDP couldn't get enough tar sands expansion.

They're very noticeably better on genocide.

I'd like to see an NDP government, policed by a Green opposition. That's my unattainable dream. Even the decades of turmoil that it would take them to work out a new order, would be a dream... compared to the decades of turmoil that the status quo can guarantee.

As a supporter, I'd encourage Mehdi to invite the amazing Fiona Lali for an interview soon. She totally destroyed the odious Suella (aka Cruella) Braverman on GB TV recently. Maybe she read Mehdi's book on how to win any argument! Now she's standing as a candidate for the RCP in the upcoming UK election. I think she would make a great guest.

I hadn't heard she was a candidate. That's brilliant! Thanks for a bit of good news!

This is why as a life long staunch Labour supporter throughout my life, I and virtually all my friends and family will not be voting Labour in five weeks time.

All I can say about Owen is that I love him! I have seen him stand his ground against pro-Israeli and Zionists without wavering once. He is a man of his word. I'm a big fan.

It's interesting when Corbyn was in power they said "he is for the many not the Jew" when in actual fact he just opposed Zionists. Starmer it appears has put a finger up to the many and embraced the Zionists with open arms, whilst it might get him into power he will not last or atleast he won't even remember what he stood for

She's running as an independent candidate endorsed by the RCP in the London-area constituency of Stratford and Bow.

It is invaluable, in this time of unimaginable savagery & merciless gaslighting, to see the two of you demonstrating that sanity is not fully gone.

Likewise, all around the world countless thousands rise up in their respective cities, despite the threats & brutality of their blood-drenched governments, to demonstrate that decency is not fully gone.

Yet the fact remains: The rancid remnants of England's Empire, have all built a wall of governments and governments-in-waiting, that fully block out sanity and decency (as if sanity & decency are a couple of nonwhite women who once let their guard down long enough to speak an uncomfortable truth). The populace of every English-speaking "democracy" is trapped between a genocidally far-right "liberal" government, and a nakedly-fascist "conservative" government, which work in tandem, AGAINST THE PEOPLE.

The psychopathic hit-job on Faiza Shaheen, and the slow, torturous crucifixion of Diane Abbot, perfectly represent SIR Keir's very intentional sabotage of labour. Not just the Labour Party, but the working classes of Britain.

Another great one. I would love to follow both of your comments on Twitter but I can't take it anymore. It's just a cesspool. Please consider posting on BlueSky as well. Thanks.

They got rid Jeremy Corbyn because he spoke the truth. The Labour Party were seen as too pro immigration, too pro Palestine and this did not sit well with rich party funders who are pro Israeli. He was effectively removed and the party changed its image looking more like the Conservative Party with a few differences. The Conservative Party has long been a shambles and they have just not been gracious enough to admit it. A new change seems the only option available for those who do not see the UK’s place globally and are not too bothered about Gaza. Britain doesn’t have much alternative but there really needs to be more alternatives - will the people bring them into power and leave both the conservative and Labour?

Great show. Still feel powerless to help bring change to US "discourse" and the genocide in Gaza. Root causes need to be understood and addressed. Apologies by nations need to be made. Money needs to be extracated from politics. Basic creeds that will never, ever be done. And life continues...
