Go straight to your U.S. Congressional House Rep and both Senate Reps to demand they stand with Bernie Sanders and halt weapons to Israel. Demand better jobs for Americans rather than our tax dollars paying for bomb manufacturing (which is a dirty job, bad for their health) and traps us in a cycle of justifying mass murder for the sake of jobs, not to mention now the chaos and division in our neighborhoods, our kids' lives on college campuses, the nonsensical narratives about identity politics, etc. We can do better. Most of us just want simple lives. Only the few are making us fight their nasty battles so they can walk away as billionaires. Wall Street was celebrating Lockheed Martin's stock futures last week.
Thanks. I have written to our senators, representative, White House, First Lady and VP Harris. I never feel this is enough, although Senator Bennet seems to be somewhat responsive. Bernie Sanders' "not one more nickel" really resonates with me. For years, my husband and I have instructed that our retirement investments never include weapons of war or anything that hurts animals (we are both veterinarians). But I still feel it is not enough. I dread the thought that my tax dollars are contributing to the deaths and maiming of innocent children in Gaza and elsewhere.
