It's about time he's held accountable, though I suspect he won't be. At the least, maybe this lawsuit will draw more attention to his absolute refusal to follow US Law. Wishing them success.

Biden & Blinken need to be brought to the Hague.

"For too long, the State Department has acted as if there’s an ‘Israel exemption' from the Leahy Law, despite the fact that Congress required it to apply the law to every country in the world. As a result, millions of Palestinians have suffered unimaginable, horrific abuses by Israeli forces using U.S. weapons."

Utterly disgraceful the US complete support ,financial and weapons to carry out the horrors of the Israeli genocide. Sadly not surprising but makes the US a shallow, unworthy country not admired as a democracy.

All I can say is that I am outraged that Biden & his administration are allowing this genocide to go on unchecked. As far as Netanyahu is concerned, I hope he eventually suffers the same fate as Adolph Eichmann. He's a monster.

Yesterday, Peter Beinart wrote a very good article "Why Israel’s Supporters Get So Mad When Critics Call Gaza a 'Genocide'" that talks about 'Western exceptionalism', where a different set of moral standards apply to the US and it allies than for its adversaries. He says "..the United States is very invested in the idea that the worst crimes are only committed by America’s adversaries, or at least by countries that America doesn’t have a strong relationship with. Whereas America’s allies, even if they make mistakes, can never be that bad, can never be as bad as America’s adversaries, that Israel could never be doing something which is as bad as what China or Russia or Iran or Venezuela does." When I look at what Israel is doing, I think "terrorism", but the US would never apply that label to Israel, it is reserved for the worst of the worst.

Bravo! Whenever Israel assures the US it is "addressing an issue" it actually means it is making it worse. Now Israel is saying it is going to double its settlement of the Golan Heights, which (SPOILER ALERT) isn't theirs. Nor is the situation in the West Bank any better. DAILY the news brings word of more settler attacks on Palestinians just going about their business on their own land.

The assurances are about as believable as those that whatever shelling kills whole families in Gaza is "precisely targeted" to get "a Hamas operative." Clearly precise targeting is NOT preventing civilian casualties and the "Hamas operative" is rarely identified, or even whether he was successfully targeted. Apparently any male in Gaza who tries to defend his family is by definition Hamas, and more and more, that every male who fails to evacuate for the umpteenth time from the Israeli target du jour--and for that matter, women an children who fail to do so--are going to be presumed to be Hamas.

I am no supporter of Hamas terrorists. But the number of those in the military wing (as opposed to the civil servants) has been decimated. There is hardly ever any evidence that the claimed" operative" is anything more than a DMV clerk.

Why doesn't Israel publish the names of all the Hamas "operatives"--they clearly know they are such or they wouldn't be able to target them. Then we could all keep an actual checklist of which ones actually get scragged. Now our own budget bill specifically states that the Pentagon cannot rely on Gaza Health Authority figures--why should we blindly trust the IDF's figures about anything?

I am delighted to report that every one of my Jewish friends--and via Facebook, there are LOTS--is deeply opposed to what Israel is doing.

How can I sue my government for aiding in a genocide? Using my tax dollars illegally?

Blinken has a good defense for himself as his priority and loyalty lies with the Zionist Israel, so he will contest that the court can not fault him to follow his priorities.

Yes! They should also ask Trump to sign an executive order waiving immunity and consenting to jurisdiction for crimes by the Biden Administration for aiding Israel's genocide in Gaza. Blinken in particular should be singled out for prosecution for violating the Leahy Law. Also, the Palestinians need to sue all of the tech companies and defense contractors who supplied the IDF like Palantir, Boeing, Meta, and Starlink. The reparations should be in the Trillions of dollars and also permanent injunctions from supplying the IDF.

They should start with the diamond companies that launder Israel's blood diamonds claiming they "conflict free"...especialy important to raise awareness over the next few days of peak sales. Diamonds are Israel's No.1 net export and a major source of funding for the genocidal fascists. Check my latest in MEMO https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/6-author/sean-clinton/

Honestly, I don’t think anyone in power is gonna be held accountable, but these actions are important for the historical record more than anything else at this point and history is going to judge those empower very harshly ‼️
