Thank you, Mehdi for this critical interview. I am so ashamed of US complicity in this genocide, unlawful displacement, public health disaster, famine, destruction of water treatment facilities and other war crimes. Thousands of babies and children massacred, thousands orphaned, thousands forever traumatized. How many are amputees? How many suffering serious untreated maladies? Biden's complicity/cruelty, is unimaginable. The vast majority of our Congresspersons are no better.

It's been weeks that the WHO has been asking for a humanitarian pause in order to inoculate the children of Gaza, yet Biden still pretends that he is "unable" to impose such pause. Disgraceful.

Since the US is the only country which has yet to restore UNRWA funding, Americans who care should donate to UNRWA and other charities helping the people of Gaza.

Brilliant! As per usual, Zeteo is the only news organisation to hold all to account!

Mehdi, just listening to the latest “Mehdi Unfiltered”. I like listening to your forensic fearless approach. Your journalism is important in exposing many aspects of the horrors of this onslaught. But why do you continue to call what is happening in Gaza and the West Bank, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, a “war”. It is not. This is the Israeli narrative - their “war” of “self defence” against the “terrorists”. This is the narrative of Israeli Zionist propaganda. You know too much about the situation to continue making mistakes like this. I assess this to be a genocide and what began in the West Bank this morning with the huge military operation gives even further weight to this view. If you don’t yet wish to label it a genocide, call it a “crisis”, an “onslaught”, “catastrophe”. Something else. But use a term that reflects the fact that a “war” is waged between two states and ignores the special protected status of occupied people and the important legal role of Israel to ensure certain minimum essential elements of life - medicine, water, food; far from the situation here. Find a term that reflects the asymmetric nature of the horrors. Semantics are important here. We are where we are because Israel and the Zionist movement have used semantics - ie alleging that any criticism of Israeli policies regarding the Palestinians is anti semitism - to shut down debate and criticism about its horrific treatment of Palestinians and its slow burn genocide, ethnic cleansing and mass human rights abuses since the 1940s. Yours, Olivia Holdsworth

You are absolutely spot on Olivia. Any use of the term "war" must be qualified. For example - Israel is waging a genocidal war on the Palestinians that it occupies and subjugates, or the settler colonial state of Israel is engaged in a war of extermination against Palestinians living in the territory that controls. Using shorthand that removes context is a deep disservice to readers/listeners.

Yes! Words matter. Well said.

Kudos to Mr Lazzarini for his tireless humanitarianism as opposed to the swine running Israel and the genocide they are carrying out aided by Biden.

Sadly it seems that everywhere the American government has left a footprint; they have also left disaster. What a sad state of affairs for Afghanistan and especially the women and girls. When will some countries learn to mind their own business? In the case of the U.S., not soon enough!

Excellent questions, thanks for putting civil society on. The difference with other war crimes is the population is locked into the Biden Netanyahu siege, that Harris has fully subscribed to, where the concentration camp members run the gauntlet across kill zones labeled safe zones changing borders by Meritless Blinken for US journalist purged propaganda. Interview Ralph Nader on the deliberate undercount of the deaths in Gaza so the genocide doesn’t look bad and TFG can remain a boogey to mass murder.

Great suggestion. INTERVIEW RALPH NADER on the VAST UNDERCOUNT being parroted by nearly everyone (Al J, Dem Now, Haaretz, Motaz, even the Lancet dropped the more logical 500K+ upper-end count from the journal article … pressure is obviously being applied).

Excellent discussion about Afghanistan. Also reminded me that the Biden administration foreign policy has been incompetent not only when it comes to the Middle East

I get the point about Trump. And I don’t wish for a fascist crazy guy as the president of the US - on the contrary. But with genocide Harris as a poor alternative, I do think for the world it might be easier to unite against Trump/US foreign policy and end all these nonsense wars, including the genocide of the people of Palestine. Like this every western country celebrates Harris and will march with her in every direction. How many more millions of people need to give their lives and health for the dominance of an imperialist country with “the most lethal fighting force”. We want peace and prosperity.

Ali Nazary seems like a smoothy selected for his job because of his American accent. I have zero faith in his claims about the NRF's commitment to democracy and women's rights.

Whenever someone frequently says “Look,” before answering a yes or no question, I think of them as a used car salesman trying to triangulate and sound like they’re being sincere. I got that vibe from Ali Nazary.

He didn’t directly answer any questions. It was like watching Neo from The Matrix with how he dodged answering the question about the corruption in the NRF. Is this really Afghanistan’s best hope?

Reminds me of the political choice in the US between Kamala Harris or Donald Trump. No good options.

Good show. Tough wuestio s to the movement to overthrow the Taliban in Afghanistan. What to do?

The cycle of one side than the other gaining g the upper hand almost Comical if it weren't so tragic. My heart goes out to them. My focus right now is the genocide in Gaza and the proxy war in in Ukraine. AGHANISTAN AND PAKISTAN and many other nations keep up the good fight. Hang in there and eventually your voices will be heard and addressed.

Hello

Great show . Glad I am a subscriber . Waiting for Mehdi of an ‘unfiltered’ report of the political crisis of Venezuela , it’s not an issue of leftist and rightist issue. It’s an issue of a corrupted government , link with narco that now the stolen election has been unmasked . You should interview government people and opposition like Maria Corina Machado

Thanks

That Afghani NRF rep seems to be a bit brainwashed, knowingly or not. But intentions that are good that don't follow rational logic just elude to closed door practices and arms deals, especially the talking points "August 15, 2021" being repeated over and over and "women's issues" over and over. It's such a mirror to the talking points of bad actors internationally, as well as a mirror of the behavior of corruption and defending commanders that get themselves out of the realm of the actual conflict yet make backroom deals with weapons suppliers that will force the people they are claiming to defend to be in an escalated war zone. I've become very cynical, but the corrupt war-profitering by millionaires willing to put other people's lives at risk while enjoying the benefits of collusion with international bodies is becoming almost comical because all the talking points by the mouth pieces are exactly the same. No critical thinking or strategy determination before the fact.
