The father of Sayfollah Musallet, the 20-year-old American killed by Israeli settlers, speaks to Zeteo in his first extended on-camera interview and says US leaders have not reached out to him.
My heart goes out to Mr. Musallat. Today and tomorrow, The Hague Group, which consists of 10 member states of the U.N., will be joined by 20 other member states in Bogota to decide on actions to enforce international law in Gaza. U.N. Rapporteur Francesca Albanese will be among the speakers. The conference starts at 11:30 EDT.
In the words of Colombian President, Gustavo Petro, the purpose of the conference is to “bring together a broad coalition of governments— from Algeria to Brazil, China to Spain, Indonesia to Qatar, to move from condemnation to collective action.” The conference will be live-streamed. I am devastated by the cruelty that took Sayfullah's life. His father is an example of mind blowing faith and resilience. I am shook to my core at the lack of accountability of the perpetrators and the continued participation in this horrific decimation of a people. Prem conducted an excellent interview, giving Mr. Mussalat enough time to speak and asking pertinent questions. The only interviewer and platform to do so. Thankyou Prem for doing this interview and big thankyou to the father as well for speaking out. I have so much respect for y'all's integrity. 🙏🏽
First, my condolences to Sayfollah’s family . It must have been so painful for his father to give this interview. That the United States has not condemned the murder and called for accountability is indicative of the double standard they continue to ‘champion’. It is beyond shameful.
There is a solution of a kind, to enforce a Korea-style situation, maintain a multinational military force to make sure peace holds and no more Palestinians die whether by bullets or starvation. But the US and the EU won't go for that, so can the BRICs nations? Any other nations out there? Surely the Saudis, the Gulf states have an interest in enforcing peace in the region? Yours in naivete.
Murder of Palestinians by Israeli settlers happens regularly and is ignored by the US government and mainstream media, making a mockery of the idea that America supports human rights anywhere in the world. And they are not America first, everything is about wealth and power, ignoring basic humanity.
Anyone whose still asking or wondering if Trump's claim of MAGA is legit should know better. Don't forget his son is law is one of most hard-core zionists out there and Trump will do anything to please his daughter including be part of the genocide
The brazen murder of a U.S citizen by illegal Israeli settler goons and the apathy and indifference of the U.S Govt is unacceptable at every level. There must be accountability for this atrocity.
Great interview Prem! My deepest condolences for Sayf and his family. Heartbreaking as is this whole genocide and apartheid that Israel, the U.S. and Europe is perpetrating upon Palestinians. What’s not being reported enough is that most of these Israeli murderous colonial settlers are dual U.S./Israeli nationals - many from NYC - e.g. Brooklyn. When will these dual citizens lose their U.S. citizenship or be prosecuted when they return to U.S. territory?!
Thank you for posting this video. It puts human faces and personalities on the tiny, dry, featureless reporting of just one more Palestinian death when apparently the world’s moved on from the topic - “Heck, are they still stuck on that? This is boring.”
It’s not boring. It’s ongoing, and yes it is genocide. The US has spent our tax money to fund that genocide but takes no responsibility for the evil that had happened as a result of their decades-long interference in Middle Eastern politics. I am mortified that I am perforce implicated in crimes against humanity for paying my legally required taxes to the government. It is a huge violation of my personal ethics.

I have not seen his story anywhere but on Zeteo. The suffering of Palestinians, the genocide, is lost in Trump's mendacity and stupidity.
In Sunday's New York Times. Front page (in my edition.)
Thank you! That's a paper i don't get, but it's probably online somewhere.

May the memory of Saif's good heart and laughter be a comfort always. And may he truly have peace now forever.

Thank you Prem, condolences to Kamel and his family
This is heartbreaking.

Such a disgraceful loss of life 🥲
