I don't see my congressional representatives in the list of names so I guess it's time to write and call them again. Watched and read a few more things about Steven Donziger's case and what happened down in Ecuador. The whole thing stinks to high heaven with evil corp. BS.
Thanks so much for writing about Steven's case. I learned of it through Marianne Williamson quite some time ago - and if you follow exactly what happened, you'd see how the case against him was based on false evidence - I believe it was a judge from Ecuador that was bribed (and you can see money trail of said person being given US immigration privileges, I believe). Anyways, Harvard Law School Professor Charles Nesson spoke about Donziger's case, but the injustices have yet to be addressed. I sent postcards to Donziger in prison every week, for the time he was there. It has felt like a privilege to be part of his story and support his case.
I remember this story when it was on the news reports. because I thought how fortunate to have a lawyer like Donziger. Absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Donziger needs to be pardoned. He already has done a sentence that should not have been given. The greed and corruptness by corporations with EXTREME GREED and callous hearts is heinous. The conditions there were beyond imagination. I wonder if any one of these people stop to ask "Why am I here on this earth" - I hope beyond hope that all with a bit of clout continue to go forward. Make yourselves visible again..... What is all those who signed gathered together and do the old fashioned standing on the capital steps and making some NOISE. You have to do that so people will know!! How wonderful if Donziger gets a pardon. Imagine how wonderful all those who fought the original fight will feel about their government's ability to right a wrong. WOW!!!

Except the folks in Ecuador never got their justice. Oh my god, profit leads everything … justice trails so far behind
