Trump wants his 90,000 square foot ballroom supposedly because a venue that size is necessary for the dignity of the United States.

The White House State Dining Room is 1,728 square feet and can seat about 130 guests. If more space is needed the East Room of the White House is 2,960 square feet.

I used ChatGPT to check on the size of ballrooms for some other nations. Here is what turned up.

The United Kingdom uses the Buckingham Palace stateroom which is 7,091 square feet. If unavailable, the St. Georges Hall at Windsor Castle is used. That Hall is 5,377 square feet.

France uses the Élysée Palace, Salle des Fêtes (Ballroom / Banquet Hall). It is 6,458 square feet.

Italy uses the Quirinal Palace (Palazzo del Quirinale), Salone dei Corazzieri / Salone delle Feste. Square footage is not given but it can seat 350 guests.

Germany uses the Schloss Bellevue (office/residence of the Federal President), Langhans /Great Hall (for state banquets). Square footage is not available but it can seat 100-150 guests.

Russia uses the Grand (Great) Kremlin Palace, Georgievsky (St. George’s) Hall. It is 13,460 square feet.

The U.S. venue is smaller than these other nations except for Germany. But a 90,000 square foot venue would be nearly three times the size of all the other five nations listed above--combined. It is nearly seven times the size of the largest of these.

One of the largest ballroom-type venues in the world is the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center). Its “Cypress Ballroom” covers about 105,000 sq ft and is a pillar-free space capable of seating up to 13,000 theatre-style.

Besides the ridiculous expense for something not needed, (and the curry of groveling favor from various corporate doners ) , I'm curious about rumors that he is also redoing the bunker below. Is there any evidence to the rumor that he might be putting a gigantic escape room to hide in.. when he refuses to leave office in 2028?

When will we see Trump actually Deliverance-ing CNN and WaPo journalists and editors? Will he make them fight each other nude for the right to be First Piggy to Squeal?

My guess is they are begging for the honor right now behind the scenes.

Didn’t take much for these Keepers of the First Amendment to go face-down/ass-up, did it?

That’s perfect! As a Minnesota Nice-er, I approve wholeheartedly. I’m visiting Canada in a couple months - looking forward to it! And hoping ICE doesn’t give me problems when I try to get back in the country 😬

Have you not noticed how he behaves in the Middle East with Qatar, UAE, or Saudi Arabia rulers/Kings with their huge centers without columns/pillars etc?

He is very insecure, which is apparently why he wants a party hall.

Cheeto And His Billionaire Allies Attack America’s Welfare State

Investing in people with less financial means pays off in higher graduation rates for kids, higher rates of moving onto higher education, less crime, and more stable communities And like it or not, America has provided for those with less means for almost a century since the Great Depression As troubling as it is, there is a definite possibility in food insecurity in this country

So Cheeto and his Nazi allies/billionaire buddies have decided that the time is up for all these welfare recipients because the Nazi party has decided that they’re tired of this “gimme” welfare state And just like the ACA(Obamacare) fiasco, the Nazis wanted to get rid of the ACA but had no plan with which to replace it, the Nazis want to destroy the welfare safety net and food security for those less fortunate because those “takers” don’t deserve it and don’t know how to replace with another plan

This Nazi approach toward the welfare state mirrors the cruelty toward the immigrant population as demonstrated by ICE but this time the cruelty is lodged toward the less fortunate of our society So yes the Nazi party is cruel and insensitive to the needs of those who need our help The Cheeto’s, Stephen Miller’s and Nazis of the world do not deserve our vote Get rid of all of them!!

I'm often on social media, and I hear "fascism" a lot. I wonder if people understand fully what it means and why it's bad. I would appreciate more information on how and why it's bad in simple, everyday terms. I am concerned that too many of us (at either end of the spectrum) do not honestly know how fascism will impact me and mine in our day-to-day.
